Ye Olde Crown Inn

Picture of the Crown Inn in 1935

This photo is of Edenbridge High Street in 1935, much today would be recognisable by inhabitants of that time. The most striking feature is still the sign across the road announcing the Crown Inn, an old Coaching House where horses were changed on the mail coach between the Channel Coast and Westerham in Surrey. The museum is now situated in Church House, just to the north of the Crown Hotel.

One of many historic images held at the museum, copies of which can be purchased subject to terms available from the curator.

The Eden Valley Museum has many other research facilities.
