In Detail: February 1st. The museum opens with a new display: "Vivat Regina": the dawn of our Elizabethan Age, stories and images of the Eden Valley in 1952.
February - December. Hot Stuff. A display explaining how a medieval blast furnace worked, and which includes artefacts retrieved during excavations at Scarlets Mill in Cowden.
February 1st - 25th. A Photographic Journey Around the Eden Valley: Penshurst. The series of displays using images from the museum collections that started in July 2011 has now reached Penshurst. Each month different villages are featured and images used in previous displays, along with additional text, can be viewed in folders in the gallery.
February 29th to 31st March. A Photographic Journey Around the Eden Valley: Chiddingstone Hoath and Markbeech. A series of displays using images from the museum collections this month features Chiddingstone Hoath and Markbeech. Images used in previous displays, along with additional text, can be viewed in folders in the gallery.
April 4th - 28th. A Photographic Journey Around the Eden Valley: Cowden. A series of displays using images from the museum collections this month features Cowden. Images used in previous displays, along with additional text, can be viewed in folders in the gallery.
April 24th. The first in a series of talks revealing the influence of the Arts & Crafts Movement in the Eden Valley. Tonight a double bill: John Isherwood talking about the Pre-Raphaelites and Annabel Watts talking about the 'cottage' painter, Helen Allingham. May 2nd - 27th. A Photographic Journey Around the Eden Valley: Marsh Green. The series of displays using images from the museum collections that started in July 2011 concludes this month with Marsh Green. Images of villages featured in all displays, along with additional text, can continue to be viewed in folders in the gallery.
May 12th. FREE Guided Walk. The first of this year's free guided walks around the historic centre of Edenbridge, led by museum guides. Meet at the museum at 2pm. Walk lasts about one hour.
